Resonant Music Licensing is an independent music licensing company building a next-generation platform that empowers artists to licence their work, grow their audience, and get sync-ready — all through a professional tool they can share with fans, clients, and collaborators.
We’re currently developing an interactive music library and artist dashboard — think curated playlists meets smart licensing meets artist ecosystem.
We’re on the lookout for a freelance frontend developer with experience — or a real passion — for audio tech and creative web interfaces. This is an opportunity to help shape the MVP of a platform bridging the worlds of music and technology.
🔧 What You’ll Be Working On
- Building frontend components for our web-based music library and dashboard
- Implementing features based on pre-designed mockups:
- Dynamic track list views and filters
- Persistent audio playback bar
- Expandable panels for metadata, bios, alt versions, social links
- Tagging, playlist creation, and user account features
- Integrating with our existing backend/API
- (Optional) Prototyping features like AI search, vibe/mood wheels, and other experimental tools
🧠 Ideal Skills
- HTML / CSS / JavaScript
- Frameworks: React (preferred) or Vue
- Confident working from Figma or similar UI mockups
- Experience with audio/media tools or libraries like Howler.js, Tone.js, WaveSurfer, or similar
- Bonus: You’ve built tools for:
- Musicians or creators
- Streaming/audio platforms
- DAW-style interfaces, waveform visualizers, or music player UIs

- A freelance or indie developer who loves music + tech
- You’re self-driven, communicative, and work well async (with light weekly check-ins)
- You value clean UI/UX and ideally, you’re into music yourself — as a listener or creator
💼 Project Details
- Part-time freelance role – estimated a few hours/week to start, with potential to grow after launch
- Fully remote
- Paid at a competitive hourly or project rate
- Potential to grow into a longer-term or lead dev role as the product evolves
